The Granary of the Malatesta is the centuries old name given to San Giovanni due to the rich, fertile countryside that surrounds it. There are some fine examples of San Giovanni’s ancient history in the old town such as the A. Massari Theatre, which is a real jewel. Today the town is one of the main industrial and crafts centres of the Rimini area and some of the leading Italian fashion designers are based here. Patron: Saint John the Baptist (24th june).
